It was also at this time Bob Kissman was added to the meeting via conference call. It was made apparent that there would be no open discussion from this board regarding the current wake boat ordinance presented to the town. As we are a 501C3, we are not allowed to take part in a political debate.

Two open Director positions remain open with no nominations from the floor. Linda motioned to approve the nomination committee’s recommendation made by Otto, 2nd by Sadie, all aye, motion carried.

Lake study review: Discussed comparing shoreline erosion to 2018, aquatic plant inventory, fish creel improvement, possible grant for Oxbow safety patrol, and further chemical testing of water quality.

It was stated that the lake quality is still quite healthy. Beaver dams were questions due to the low water level but no one was aware of any. Adopt a shoreline was discussed as was the presence of reed canary grass.

Open discussion: Greg thanked all who came. It was noted that with the April membership mailing we are up to 61 members compared to 31 members at this time last year. Again, the wake board ordinance came up and it was reiterated that we as a board cannot take a political position regarding this issue.

The procedure regarding the town approving a tentative ordinance which was sent to the DNR which then gets sent back to the town board for a vote was explained to the group. It was discussed to maybe post more current issues on the website so anyone can view them. Facebook will be set up where posts and pictures will be reviewed then added when approved. It was told to the group that if they have questions regarding town policies and or ordinances, they should contact the town board.

Motion made to adjourn meeting at 11:03 am by Linda, 2nd by Sadie, all aye motion carried.
